Voted on April 26, 2017, 12 out of 14 councilmen voted yes to change so that demolished rent control properties will still be under rent control unless a portion of the new property becomes affordable housing.

The following show the details of what is being changed and who voted.

The city went into more detail regarding rent control when converting into condominiums after this vote.

That was also voted YES.
